I’ll make that happen.
My first job out of college was at the headquarters of a major Fortune 500 corporation. I went to work every day with 6,000 other colleagues. I sat in meetings and doodled in the margins of my corporate-branded notebook.
I quit after 8 months.
Why am I telling you this? It’s not to make you think I’m a quitter — I’m not! (Except when it comes to never-ending bored board games). It’s to show you that I have small business in my blood.
After my brief stint in the corporate world, I signed on as a marketing associate at a scrappy 4-person start up, led by business-savvy women intent on changing the world.
Working out of my boss’s home office, we pooled our limited resources and limitless passion to design a business that transformed our lives, and the lives of our clients. I helped my boss write and publish her first ebook (which, thank the Kindle gods, shot to the top of Amazon’s charts), planned conferences in 5 different countries, and helped grow our e-newsletter list to 20,000+ engaged readers. There was no time for absent-minded doodling, because there was so much to do.
And I loved it.
After a few years, I founded my own copywriting business so that I could help other small business owners brimming with passion make their own marks — and make major dough.
Whether you’re a small business of 5 or 50 — or heck, just one (shout out to sole proprietors!) — you’ve got a hand in every proverbial pot. I get that. So when you outsource a business task, you want to make sure you’re working with someone that gets you.
And that’s what I do.
I write copy that sounds, unmistakably, like you — only better.
I tell your business’s story in a way that’s authentic … and magnetic.
Because when we tell your story the right way, your clients and customers won’t think of you as a business.
They’ll think of you as a solution, or inspiration, or that thing that they just can’t live without.
So if you’re looking for website copy or marketing content that connects — and converts — you’re in the right place. Check out my services to learn more about what we can do together through copy and content marketing for your small business, or shoot me an email to get started right away.
“Emily is an amazing writer. Whether she’s describing a tasting at a Napa winery or an eco-lodge in the Caribbean, she has a wonderful way of bringing experiences to life. Her sentences are always polished, inviting, and elegantly phrased.”
